Die Königsspur

(King-sized track), short documentary, 6 minutes, 2015

Synopsis

Markus Schmidle has been working on his 0 scale model railway for many years. Even his grandfather was an enthusiastic model railroader: he bequeathed many waggons of his model railway to his grandson. Today, Mr. Schmidle is a proud owner of dozens of 0 scale trains and a track net of approximately 100 meters driving length. When his wife banished him and his space-consuming track net to the small attic, he had to be creative: his invention of a modular track-system including a tunnel through a wall, arouses interest even by the large-scale conglomerate “Siemens”.
